Mozilla Firefox is one of many free web browsers available to the public and is currently ranked as the third most widely used browser in the world. This is possibly due to the fact that Mozilla is fun, sleek, easy to use and easy to understand. It also has a very recognizable logo, with its orange/red fox encircling a blue globe. Many people only need to hear “Mozilla” or “Firefox” to know that they are talking about the web browser and it is predominantly aimed at the younger internet population.
The signature style guide offered by Mozilla is very clear and concise with what is expected, allowed and unacceptable. It covers every conceivable topic from building the Mozilla brand, co-branding and specific size and colour restrictions on the use of the Firefox logo and symbol, to name a few.
The guide is simply laid out with a modern visual aesthetic. Each separate section of information is accompanied by a brief and succinct explanation explaining exactly what is needed and expected. A perfect example of this is Page 16 entitled “Unacceptable signature treatments” where there is a list of “Dont’s” accompanied by a visual portrayal of each ‘don’t’, making it quite idiot-proof.

The Mozilla Firefox online "Brand Toolkit" found at: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/brand/ is also an excellent example of how the style guide has been further simplified in a fun and interesting way! I found it really easy to read through :)
